Zodiac Braves: Trial 1 - Cúchulainn
On Saturday, the Zodiac Braves circuit had its very first event at Isle of Gamers in Santa Clara. We had a total of 11 participants who brought all kinds of of new, exciting decks to play. We even had Final Fantasy-themed cookies to hand out to everyone!
After four rounds of Swiss, we cut to the top 4: Anson Quach, Jared Walters, Brian Gerbi, and Brian Ng. They battled it out in best-of-3 rounds, with Brian Gerbi and Brian Ng making it to finals. By the end, Brian Ng ended up successfully claiming the seat as champion, winning himself a limited pre-release deckbox!
We also made an attempt at an amateur stream in order to provide coverage for anyone who missed the event or just wanted to tune in. Our setup for the stream was very simple, and we've only just started using the equipment and software for the streaming. Hopefully we will be able to learn more for next time and provide better streams for all those who want to watch us showcase our local players in the community. For anyone who missed it and wants to follow us for next time, our Twitch channel can be found here: https://www.twitch.tv/zodiacbravesfftcg.

Many thanks to:
- Isle of Gamers, for letting us host the event at their store
- Returner Hideout, for all their tips on how to set up a basic stream (check them out too!)
- Jared, without whom none of this could be possible (and congratulations to him for topping!)
- Brian Gerbi and Brian Ng, also members of the Zodiac Braves team and always our go-to people for judging and rulings (and congrats to them for topping as well, and to Ng for finishing in 1st place!)
Thank you to all who attended and/or tuned in, and to everyone who came to our usual after-tournament dinner. Hope to see more faces (old and new) at our future events, and looking forward to seeing everyone again next time!
