Trials of the Zodiac Braves

At the end of this season the 12 players with the most points will qualify for our single-elimination Championship Tournament. The 8 players at the Championship who make it past the first round will each win a white prerelease deck box! Will YOU be one of the 12 Zodiac Braves?

While several of our locals were partying it up in Las Vegas at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival, eleven players came out to the first Trial of the Zodiac Braves last time! We saw a lot of experimentation using the new cards Opus VII brought us. Yuri in particular was in heavy usage as 3 of the players in the Top 4 were using Mono decks. There were Random Encounters, Final Fantasy cookies, and a whole lot of fun! If you missed our write-up on the first Trial, go check out how it all went down (and the Top 4 decklists) at: https:// zodiacbraves.blogspot.com/ 2018/11/ zodiac-braves-trial-1-cuchu lainn.html

Hello all! To everyone who could not make it to Trial 1 or would like to tune in, we set up an amateur stream to cover a featured match per round during our very first Zodiac Braves circuit event at Isle of Gamers! Follow the twitch link here: https://www.twitch.tv/zodiacbravesfftcg

The Zodiac Braves' very own  Peter Dang  just wrote up a great article about a tradition he and a friend started called Fun Deck Fridays! It's a great example of how to enjoy the game beyond just winning and losing in the established meta and we highly recommend giving it a try, so go check out his article and the rest of his blog! https://thefirstbrood.blogspot.com/2018/11/fun-deck-fridays.html

Season 5 of the Circuit features a restructuring of the rankings from previous seasons. By the end of the season one player will stand above the others as the Sword Saint. Will they live up to the legend of Cidolfus Orlandeau? Also, players will find that the competition to qualify for the Season 5 Championship is fiercer than ever! Only the Top 12 players in points at the end of the season will advance to the Championship Tournament, so every Trial and every point counts! This is also true for those at the top of the standings when the season ends. The players who finish the season in the Top 4 will receive a generous advantage in the Championship, in the form of a 1st Round Bye! Whether you're fighting it out to become the Sword Saint, or just to take your place as one of the 12 Zodiac Braves, every game counts. Every point counts. Every Trial counts. Good luck!

What an exciting weekend at the 2018 World Championship in London!  A huge congratulations to Mr. Cool himself, Alex Hancox, on winning the event with his absolutely stellar play all weekend long! We at the Zodiac Braves know that everyone is poring over those 24 decklists that the Top 8 players brought with them for the event so we took the pictures that Square Enix posted and transcribed ALL 24 of them into lists for you.   If you haven't already, please give us a like over on Facebook ( Zodiac Braves ) to keep up with all of our FFTCG content 😃.
